About Me
I am double board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and General (Adult) Psychiatry. I specialize in the care of children, teens, and young adults with mental health concerns including ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, OCD, and stress. I serve families from all backgrounds, religions, ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations. I believe that care should center around the patient and family, using evidence-based practices which may include recommendations for medication and/or psychotherapy. I enjoy a collaborative approach that includes working with families, schools, and other members of the treatment team.
My Experience
Prior to attending medical school, I completed my Master’s degree and worked as a speech-language pathologist. This experience gives me unique insight and additional expertise when caring for those with developmental delay and mental health concerns that may impact communication, such as autism spectrum disorder and selective mutism.
I trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Michigan and then served in several leadership positions at Henry Ford Health system including medical director of ambulatory pediatric psychiatry and lead physician for the pediatric behavioral health integrated care program, a model for collaborative care between psychiatry and primary care. I was regularly involved in the development of new physicians, providing supervision and continue to provide lectures as a member of the teaching faculty.

I belong to the American Medical Association, the Michigan State Medical Society, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I am the Immediate Past President of the Michigan Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and have been a member of the Executive Committee since 2014.
